Capital Caring serves people with serious, progressive illness in Northern Virginia, Washington D.C. and Prince George's County Maryland. The organization provides medical care and treatment that concentrate on reducing the severity of disease symptoms, rather than halting or delaying progression of disease itself, or providing a cure. The goal of hospice is to prevent and relieve suffering and, more importantly, to improve the quality of life for people facing serious illness.

Charitable gifts to Capital Caring, help underwrite nearly 16 percent of patient care costs. Capital Caring is dependent on the generosity of the community in order to make their services available to anyone who is medically eligible, regardless of their ability to pay.

All proceeds from this event benefit Capital Caring, which is a community-based 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. The tax Idenftification Number is 54-1920770.

The mission of Capital Caring is to improve care for those facing life-limiting illness through direct support of patients and their families, public education and public advocacy.
